Service Description

This class is an exploration of how your body is designed to move and how to move in ways that support strength, ease, and long-term health. With a focus on efficient movement, injury prevention, and longevity in your yoga practice, Body Mechanics helps you build awareness of your alignment, habits, and movement patterns both on and off the mat. You’ll be guided through slow, intentional movement, posture exploration, and practical demonstrations that illuminate how joints, muscles, and connective tissues work together. The class blends hands-on application with clear anatomical instruction, allowing you to feel the difference between effortful movement and supported movement. Body Mechanics is not about perfection or rigid alignment. It’s about learning how your body works so you can make informed, intuitive choices in your practice. This class supports sustainable movement, helping you continue practicing yoga with confidence, clarity, and longevity. In this class, you can expect to: *Learn how to move with less strain and more stability *Understand common movement patterns that lead to discomfort or injury *Improve posture, balance, and joint health *Refine alignment in yoga poses to better support your body *Develop body awareness that carries into daily activities like walking, lifting, and sitting

Cancellation Policy

Registration, Cancellation & No-Show Policy To help us create the best experience for our teachers and community, advance registration is required for all classes at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled start time. While drop-ins are always welcome, please note that if one or no students are registered, the class or special event may be canceled, and a teacher may not be present. We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel a scheduled class or service, please do so at least 2 hours in advance to avoid losing your class credit and incurring a $15 cancellation or no-show fee. This policy helps honor the time, preparation, and energy of our teachers. Special events are non-refundable | No refunds or exchanges | Prices are subject to change without notice. Thank you for your understanding and continued support we truly look forward to practicing with you.

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 8:30pm

Saturday - 8:00am -2:00pm

Sunday - 8:00am - 2:00pm

Signing Up: Advanced sign up on the website is required for all classes and special events. Doors lock 3 minutes after scheduled start time. Our apologies, but no late admittance is permitted. Class Cancellation Policy: To cancel a class please send a chat or email to us no later than 2 hours prior to start time, in order to retain your class credit.

 

Please make sure to sign up for class 1 hour prior to class start, as Ajna Urban Yoga reserves the right to cancel any scheduled yoga classes or special events where there is 0-1 attendees only, signed up.
