As the air turns cooler and the days grow shorter, Ayurveda teaches us that Vāta dosha governed by air and space naturally rises, often leaving us feeling scattered, dry, or restless. Over four Saturdays, we’ll explore the five elements, uncover your unique mind-body constitution, and learn practical ways to adapt your yoga, breath, meals, and daily rituals for fall. Perfect for beginners everyone is welcome! What We’ll Explore Each Week Week 1 ~ Introduction to Ayurveda & the Five Elements •Explore Space, Air, Fire, Water & Earth in nature and within you •Gentle yoga & breath to embody the elements •Take home a simple Ayurvedic quiz to discover your personal constitution (prakriti) Week 2 ~ Understanding Doshas & Finding Balance in Fall •Dive into your quiz results: Vata, Pitta & Kapha •How autumn impacts each constitution •Grounding yoga & pranayama to soothe excess Vata Week 3 ~ Seasonal Foods & Nourishing Daily Routines •How to support digestion & energy in autumn •Simple Ayurvedic foods, drinks & lifestyle tips for colder months •Meditation on mindful eating & gratitude Week 4 ~ Pranayama, Meditation & Sacred Fall Rituals •Integrate breath, meditation & gentle practices to restore balance •Create meaningful rituals for the season ahead •Closing circle & intention setting Whether you’re completely new to this work or looking to deepen your practice, this series offers a beautiful entry point into the heart of yoga and Ayurveda. Cancellation & No-Show Policy: We understand that life happens! If you need to cancel your scheduled service, please do so at least 3 hours in advance, and we’ll be happy to reschedule your session. To honor the time and energy of our teachers and community, a $15 cancellation fee will apply if you do not cancel and do not attend your scheduled service. Class Cancellation Policy: To cancel a class please send a chat or email to us no later than 3 hours prior to start time, in order to retain your class credit.

 

Please make sure to sign up for class 1 hour prior to class start, as Ajna Urban Yoga reserves the right to cancel any scheduled yoga classes or special events where there is 0-1 attendees only, signed up.
